Handmade Japanese Pocket Knife

These versatile folding knives are useful for any tasks including camping, cooking, crafting, foraging, opening boxes, etc. Making them a perfectly suited and meaningful gift to a loved one or yourself. 

The Japanese writing on the handle states a registered trademark for this is a certified Higonokami. The first line says TorokuShoho, which means ‘registered trademark.’ The second line says Higonokami Sadakanekoma, meaning ‘this is certified Higonokami.’

Higonokami is a traditional shape of folding knife with a long history because the simplicity and functionality has a timeless value. ‘Higo’ is an old name of the region where the design of this folding knife was created, and ‘Kami’ means spirit or protector. Therefore, meaning 'protector of the Higo region’.

Handcrafted in Ono, Hyogo, Japan. This region is one of last of Japan where craftsman are still making knives with traditional knife making skills and practices. Each craftsman works collaboratively to ensure the tradition is kept alive and passed onto the next generation. We are proud to support this community.

This knife does not have a lock.
